Beat the Heat… with a few pics…

11 Apr

It’s only mid – April but the peak summer heat has already descended upon Mumbai, making it quite an unbearable city.  The temperatures have started touching upwards of 30 degrees Centigrade and we still have 2.5 more months of such summer to get through.

Hence its no surprise that I am at present sitting in office and dreaming of a holiday that includes a nice long dip in the cool waters of a beautiful beach. Since I can’t be on a beach at present (my friends from Mumbai please don’t even bother talking about beaches here in Mumbai) I am posting about other beaches.

Below are 3 pics of my favorite beaches that I have been to in India –

This is an old and now unused jetty at the Alleppey Beach

This picture has been taken at the Alleppey beach in the morning and you can see the old and now unused jetty right in the centre. This beach is beautiful, clean and this back-drop is a beautiful scene for photography, especially sunrise and sunset.

We stumbled upon this deserted rocky beach quite by chance. We were walking along another beach in Goa when we saw this. We then had a great time here, as it was like a beach completely to ourselves and we explored every nook and corner of these rocks and even posed with them.

The picture above is of a beautiful sunset by a rocky beach in Pondicherry. We were sitting in an awesome coffee shop with a cup of amazing coffee and just watching the sun ending another one of its days (at least in my part of the world). 🙂
