This week’s weekly photo challenge is inspired by Evan Zelermyer‘s post on “Shape, Line, Texture, Pattern” . Evan’s post provides insights and creative tips on creating stunning urban, abstract, and architectural images by playing with 4 elements – Lines, Shapes, Textures and Patterns. And my take on each is as follows –
1. Shape – Evan shows a technique to create dramatic images by shooting unique shapes upwards and against the sky. I shot this autumn tree upwards against the sky, where the dry leaves and some bare branches make a beautiful image.
2. Lines – I saw this small pigeon sitting on the electric wires and the other wires in diagonal lines around it make an interesting visual.
3. Texture – The texture on every interesting object or surface creates effective images. My image is of an ancient trunk which had some beautiful design and the rust added another dimension to its surface and texture.
4. Pattern – Striking images can be made using striking patterns and I found this beautiful circular pattern in stone.

Nice clicks. I especially liked the ‘Lines.’

Beautiful photos Snigdha. My favourite is the lines one.
